Healthcare providers

Visiting doctors, specialists and payments

Golden Arrow Employees' Medical Benefit Fund has contracted certain specialists in a specialist network. Patients are encouraged to visit these providers as they charge agreed rates. If a patient visits healthcare providers who are not part of the specialist network, they may be liable for co-payments.

The fund covers 7 General Practitioner consultations per beneficiary in a year, which is subject to an overall annual limit.

All specialists visits are required to be authorised as well as refered by a general practitioner.

Claims are required to be submitted within four months of the date of service.

How to submit a claim

Hospitalisation

On the Standard and Advanced Options, hospital pre-authorisation must be obtained at least 48 hours before you go to the hospital.

In the case of an emergency, pre-authorisation is required within 24 hours of the admission, or on the next working day after you were admitted.
